Addressing Barriers at Federally Regulated Gateways to Legal Capacity
Information
Goal of the study
Legal capacity is the power to make decisions with legal consequences. Legal capacity gateways are the requirements a person must meet to access the rights, benefits, and opportunities on the other side of a gateway. This study will identify best practices for designing and managing fully inclusive and accessible legal capacity gateways. The way legal capacity gateways are designed determines access to programs and services for people whose legal capacity may be questioned. Increased understanding and awareness can increase access to these programs and services for people with disabilities.
