Strengthening the Climate Resilience of People with Disabilities
Information
Goal of the study
This project will identify accessibility concerns for people with disabilities in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from climate emergencies. It will focus on the services that federally regulated organizations provide to Canadians with disabilities (e.g., transportation agencies, financial institutions, telecommunications providers, radio and television broadcasters) so that they are better prepared to handle climate emergencies.
Recommendations could be used to develop, implement and refine accessibility standards related to disaster risk management.
