Goal of the study
This project will identify the barriers that people with disabilities can face in emergencies. It will include recommendations to inform future emergency management standards. This will help those who plan for and respond to emergencies be better prepared to support people with all types of disabilities.

Goal of the study
This project will identify barriers that people with disabilities face when using washrooms (lavatories) on Canadian aircraft. It will recommend that manufacturers design aircraft washrooms to be accessible. These designs should apply to different aircraft models, including those having only one aisle.
This will ensure that passengers with disabilities can use airplane washrooms comfortably and safely. This includes passengers who are obese, autistic, or have mobility-related disabilities (including mobility issues related chronic pain). It will also include those with visual, hearing, or intellectual disabilities.

This project will explore the accessibility of communities. This includes access to services and places and how people move around the community. The project will also identify the features a community needs to be accessible.
